What is Cruse Bereavement Care

Cruse Bereavement Care is a counselling service which exists to help people to understand their grief and cope with their loss.

What help does Cruse provide

Cruse Bereavement Care provides a range of services for people of all ages, including adults, children and young people. We can offer:

• Individual Counselling - An opportunity to talk through your thoughts and feelings face to face with one of our Counsellors.

• Telephone Counselling - We also provide one to one counselling over the telephone if requested.

• Group Counselling - An opportunity to share your thoughts and feelings with other people who are bere4aved in a group environment led by a Counsellor.

• Groups for children and young people - We provide both individual and group counselling.

• Bereavement Support visitors - Aimed at the more elderly client, in their own home.

• Support groups and friendship groups for the bereaved

Who are our Counsellors

Our Counsellors, like our clients, come from all walks of life. They are trained Bereavement Counsellors and work within the standards set out by Cruse Bereavement Care. Cruse is an affiliated member of the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists (BACP) and, as such, is bound by its ethical framework. This means it provides a professional and confidential service.

All our Counsellors are Volunteers.

Cruse Bereavement Care is a national registered charity with over 200 branches throughout the UK. As a charity we do not charge for our counselling and therefore we very much appreciate any donations.
